This was our second Annual Trip to New York to support Pnoy Apparel’s Shirt the Kids event, a nationwide tour to help fight poverty by providing shirts to kids in the Philippines. This east coast tour consisted of two states in one weekend, New Jersey and New York. 5byseven provided coverage of the New York portion of STK at The Studio at Webster Hall. Performances by heavy hitters, Deep Foundation with a surprise performance by Melissa Polinar, Kiwi, Seattle’s Prometheus Brown of the Blue Scholars, Bambu with DJ Phatrick and KJ Butter on the ones and twos kept the crowd on their feet. Guest appearances by Bakit Why, Minny Pacquiao, Tim from Rice Cooker Studios, Ruby finalist for Alicia Keys blogger contest, and STK New Jersey’s performers Krystle Cruz and Quest Crew’sVictor Kim made for an eventful and successful evening. The Burkett’s, Balboa Park and balloons. What a tongue twister! 5byseven had the pleasure of photographing the energetic Burkett family over the weekend at Balboa Park. Nick will be leaving for deployment this Thursday so Dawn contacted us to create a collection of memories for them to share. We hope you enjoy the photographs as much as we enjoyed taking them.
