You may recognize this guy from an event we photographed last month, his 30th birthday. When I asked him how he began djing, he said it was in high school when he and a friend bought some dj equipment. The rest is history. You can find Dave, aka DJ Allg00d djing around downtown Fridays for Happy Hour from 7pm-9pm at El Dorado or at The Local from 10pm -close. If you’re out and about on Saturday you can catch DJ Allg00d at Whiskey Girl from 9pm-close. Stop by and say “hi!” Let him know we sent you! Cheers!

MJ contacted 5byseven for a studio portrait session. Years from now she wants to be able to look back and say “that was me at forty”. Her hard work and dedication and a lifestyle change has paid-off and she wanted to capture the results. This forty-two year old makes forties look good. Awesome job MJ forties are the new thirties!

Dave, aka DJ Allg00d, approached 5byseven to cover his 30th Birthday at El Dorado Cocktail Lounge in San Diego. Being surrounded by friends and family, remind us who we are, what we’ve become and who we are destined to be. Birthdays also remind us how blessed we are to have so many loving people around us. Surrounded by his closest friends and family, they were serenaded by the beautiful up-and-coming artist Clara Chung. Thirtieth birthdays are special. As a thirty-year-old you’re more comfortable in your own skin and priorities change. Harvey Allen once said “The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old are servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.”

Over the weekend we had the opportunity to work with some of the student stylists from SACO Hair here in downtown San Diego. Paul, we know him as “that makeup guy”, contacted 5byseven on behalf of SACO Hair to start portfolios for some of the stylists and their models. The first model is Keegan- hair and makeup by Maddie. The second model is Tiffany- hair and makeup by Samantha. The third model is Haidee- hair and makeup by Paul. The last model is Alley- hair and makeup by Kyle. 5byseven is thrilled and honored to photograph the newly crowned Miss Northern California Regional 2010. Being crowned Miss Northern California Regional 2010 has entitled Marina to compete for Miss California on July 6th in Fresno, California and hopefully on to the Miss America Pageant for 2011. What started out as a role in a theatrical play turned into a passion. Through pageantry, she has had the opportunity to receive scholarships towards her education. Pageantry has also been a platform for her to help raise money for breast cancer research. Good luck Marina from 5byseven!

5byseven would like to welcome to the world Giovani (Gio) Luca Egleton! It was just a few weeks prior to baby Gio’s arrival that we had the opportunity to photography mommy’s (Stephanie) Maternity in our San Diego studio. I visited Stephanie and Jocelyn and their new bundle of joy, Baby Gio, to take some photos. The natural light shinning through the window of their home was just right. You could tell this little baby was loving the warm sun rays as he peacefully slept through the whole session! Congratulations Stephanie & Jocelyn on the arrival of your little man.
