Portraits: Allison Rulloda
Congratulations Allison. She’ll be graduating with a BS in Marketing from SDSU shortly and plans to earn an MBA in International Business! The sky’s the limit, keep it up. We’re proud of you!
Strobist: Since our move, we’ve packed most of our Calumet travelites so I relied on my Canon 580EXII flashes. For this shot, I used a simple three flash setup with a black seamless paper background attached to the garage door. Softbox and umbrella camera left and right. Speedlite behind, I think at 1/64th power just to separate Allison from the background. All triggerd by PW mini/flex combo taken with a 24-70 F/2.8. on a Canon 5D Mark II.
Sports: Mission Bay High School Volleyball
Photographing Mission Bay High School’s Volleyball teams was an exciting job referred to us by our friend, Dave Beza. It was actually the first time we’ve been hired for team and individual photos. It wasn’t the most ideal part of day, shooting at about 1pm. But… the weather was absolutely amazing, as if Summer had arrived just for their photo session. Below are the group photos of the Frosh, JV and Varsity Volleyball teams from Mission Bay High School and their coaches. We’ve included a couple of their individual portraits as well as a few of their buddy pix. Ladies we hope that you had as much fun as we did! On a side note, Rachel #8 on the Varsity team was featured in the Union Tribune. Check it out! Best of luck to the Varsity team on their playoff match this Wednesday against University City!
